Wow. 2 years today.
It all started with a fiery, passionate, 17 year old girl with a simple Sony H55 point and shoot digital camera, and has evolved into something so, so beautiful. I look back at the very beginning and often wonder if I were to go back and tell 17 year old me that in 2 years this is where I would be, most likely I would have thought it to be absurd. But here I am.
My old math teacher in high school once said something that has stuck with me till this very day and will most likely stick with me for the rest of my life...
"Don't let your lows get too low and don't let your highs get too high."
In these two years, I've experienced so many highs... and more lows than I'd like to count. But it's through those lows and highs that I've made it to where I am today. I'm so thankful.
Without the support of family and friends, I would most certainly not be here today. For that, I just wanted to say thank you..you know who you are. As for my clients, I'd just like to tell you how much I love you all. I know every photographer says "I have the best clients in the world" and while I may be a little biased, I know for a fact it's true. I could be having the worst/most stressful day ever, but the second I arrive at a shoot and get behind my camera it's as though all the weight of the world melts away. Just me, my client(s), and my camera. The most perfect equation. I know you all thank me for providing lasting memories for you, but I don't think you realize what a lasting impact each and every one of you has made on me. Your smiles, sweet words, and countless laughs are the reason why I do what I do. End of story.
So that's about it. I could go on forever and ever. But I need to work on my rambling problem (and my homework). ;) Happy birthday Ali Brassel Photography, heres to many more years of life, love, laughter, and lenses.
