One of the best things ever during a photo shoot is that beautiful moment when you peak out from over the top of your camera and make real eye contact with your subject. That smile that is sharred is electric and the words unspoken are so powerful. We are making memories in this exact moment, preserving them. When my client and I both share moments and we seem to simultaneously realize this in the midst of a busy shoot, it makes everything worthwhile.
I've learned while being in the photography business, that making connections is everything. It's not just making connections to people through your art though. Yes, that's important, and one of the reasons why I love photography so much... But making connections outside the lens is just as important.
I've been blessed to meet so many wonderful photographers during this journey of mine. I've learned so much from them both professionally and personally. I think one of the best things that has come from this business is the many friendships I've accuired. Friendships that will likely last a lifetime.
Making connections with my CLIENTS though is one of my favorite things in the world. Those moments when I just put down the camera and talk to my clients are so sacred to me. Making those connections fuels what I do. It inspires me, motivates me, and teaches me so much. From those connections grow friendships, many laughs, and ultimately more memories.
Connections are everything.... and I'm in the business of making them.
