St. Louis Photographer || Sarah + Mike || Stylized Shoot

I think every photographer has that "dream session" in their head. The one that they know will fill their soul up in the most beautiful way. This session was my dream session. It's something I've been day dreaming about and planning for months and to finally see it come to life....well, there's no better feeling! I've always wanted to do a stylized wedding shoot but got cold feet anytime I started to get the ball rolling. Maybe I just didn't believe in myself as a artist. Or maybe I was afraid to fail. But I finally gave myself the push I needed (something I find myself doing often in this industry)! And I'm so so happy I did.

Our first attempt was rained out, but looking back it was a blessing in disguise. We had the most GORGEOUS evening (despite it being a little warm)! Mike and Sarah totally killed it. Their love for each other is so dang beautiful. I think I had a smile on my face the whole time I edited this session. Seriously. Just the way they look at each other...be still my heart.

Special thanks to all the beautiful people who helped this come together....

+ Mia Grace Bridal for the gorgeous gown.

+ Farmgirl Flowers for the incredible bouquet.

+ Jenna Franzen (@jnfranzen) for KILLIN IT on Sarah's hair and make up.

+ Ania (@ania_elizabeth) for assisting and taking some behind the scenes videos and photos.

+ And Mike and Sarah (@mustardseedmantra) for being the best models a girl could as for. And for falling in love. I love you both so dang much.

Couldn't have done it without these amazing vendors and human beings. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do. I have never been so proud of a body of work. Feel free to comment and share!! xoxo

St. Louis Photographer || Alli + Vince || Engagement

I can’t even begin to describe how much fun I had with these two! We spent the evening driving around Forest Park and stopping at some of our favorite locations to take photos. These two mirror Christ so beautifully and being able to capture their love was such an honor. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the end of this year!!

St. Louis Photographer || Rachel + David || Maternity

Oh man, these two. I could go on forever about how awesome they are. But I’ll let their photos do the talkin’. ;)

Rachel and David are beautiful examples of how Christ loves us: selfless, pure, comfortable, and passionately. That kind of love that makes you walk away from an interaction with them feeling so much hope and joy within your own heart. And now they are welcoming a little peanut into the world. Gosh, they are going to be the very best parents. I know they have suffered heart break with the loss of their first baby. But God has big plans for these three and this little RAD babe is going to have a pretty awesome guardian angel looking after him/her. I don’t think we could have picked a better afternoon to take these photos. So looking forward to meeting their little one. Prayers to you, Rachel and David! Thank you for being such amazing examples to us all.

St. Louis Photographer || AJ + Brian

All of my New Years Resolutions are business related this year! One of them being to blog more! So I thought I'd kick off 2017 with an adorable couple I photographed a few weeks back..

These two were an absolute blast to work with and I can't help but drool over all the pretty fall colors and historic homes right here in St. Louis. AJ and Brian both brought things that held significance to them and their relationship. AJ is an english teacher and brought a book with one of her favorite quotes for a ring shot. Brian brought his guitar and ended a fun session with beautiful acoustic music. We laughed lots, danced in front of a beautiful home, and soaked up a gorgeous fall afternoon in our favorite city. I love photographing two people in love. It's honestly one of my favorite parts of my job. So enjoy these two cuties and be on the lookout for more blogs in the future!

St. Louis Photographer || Just The Beginning

Honestly, where has this past year gone? At the end of every year, I always look back and think to myself, “how is it possible that the years keep going by faster?” But they do say that time flies when you’re having fun. I can definitely tell you that I am having the time of my life right now.

Let me just say, this has been my most successful year yet. I did things this year that I wouldn’t have even DREAMED of as a new business owner my senior year of high school. I wrote an article and had work published for my favorite photography magazine, Lemonade & Lenses (still can’t get over that..). I teamed up with Jager Boston and The BJC Foundation to produce all the photographs for their big yearly “Giving Book.” This project was by far the largest I’ve ever done and I was able to work with and photograph some incredible humans. I got to travel to new and incredible places, shoot some amazing weddings, meet and collaborate with some beautiful people, shoot two births, host fun giveaways...I could honestly go on forever! And it is all thanks to people like YOU who support me, pray for me, and cheer me on as I go. I wouldn’t be doing what I love every single day if it weren’t for you and God’s constant outpouring of grace. So thank you.

All things business aside, this has also been a very big year for myself! I graduated from college. I helped move Alex, my fiance, into his new home. I got a dog (who you’ve probably seen all over my social media outlets.) I got engaged to Alex, the man of my dreams, in July and started planning my wedding!! I also had not one but TWO foot surgeries that put me out for many many weeks. I’m currently still healing up from my last foot surgery and am SO appreciative of all the patience and support I’ve received through the surgeries and recoveries. It truly has made the healing process so much easier knowing that my clients are the absolute best and so understanding during this crazy season of my life.

So to commemorate such a beautiful year, I thought I would share with everyone one of my most favorite memories from 2016. Just a few weeks ago, I had the privilege of photographing my very first birth! Now this is something I have dreamed of doing for a very long time and let me just say, it was one of the most beautiful and powerful experiences I’ve ever photographed or witnessed. All those long hours of watching Kacy labor, all the waiting, and all the anticipation was met with the most perfect and sweet little baby girl. I left the hospital that day with a very very grateful heart. Not only because I have the best job ever that allows me to be apart of something as meaningful as a birth, but that we have a God that loves us beyond anything we could ever imagine. A God that creates such perfect things and makes it so I can capture all these beautiful human beings and moments with my camera. So I’ll stop talking now and let you scroll through this incredible birth story. Also, Kacy, the mama pictured, is my HERO. But before you scroll, just know that I am so thankful for you. I don’t like to think of this time of the year as the “end.” It’s just the beginning. Let’s make 2017 the best year yet!
